If you want to get in shape and eat healthier, your focus needs to be on staying consistent.

With each New Year, there inevitably comes the idea of setting new goals, forming new habits and starting anew. But, it doesn’t matter what you are doing or planning to accomplish, the first 90 days of any valuable pursuit is about consistency.

I know you’ve heard me say this time and time again, but this idea of remaining consistent can never bear too much repeating.

If you want to get in shape and eat healthier, your focus needs to be on staying consistent. Most people make the mistake of focusing on intensity in the hopes of seeing results in shorter periods of time, not realizing that intensity comes only after you have done something competently and consistently enough to master the basic concept.

This idea can be applied to all aspects of our lives, like careers, relationships or anything we deem important enough.

Your energy has to be directed towards being disciplined and consistent with your fitness regimen, every single day. The biggest mistake some of my clients make is trying to chase big heroic feats in the first 90 days instead of focusing on adjusting their mindset towards improving a little bit each day.

Remember, without consistency, you will never get the results you desire.
